Step 3: Enter keywords for your website (no more than 15 keywords):

Step 4: Enter the author of the website (webmaster):

Step 5: Enter the copyright owner of the website (webmaster):

Step 6: Click the button 'Create META Tags':

Step 7: Here are the Meta Tags you created.

IMPORTANT: The Meta Tags must be placed between <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags of your web page. It is very important that the Meta Tags be correctly placed in their proper order (i.e. Title, Description, Keywords, Author, Copyright, etc.) See red sample-code below:

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Your Web Page Title</TITLE>
<META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Your description comes here">
<META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="keyword1, keyword2, keyword3">
<META NAME="Author" CONTENT="Anne Laidlaw">
<META NAME="Copyright" CONTENT="©Copyright 2010 www.Alou.com, All Rights Reserved.">
<META NAME="expires" CONTENT="15 April 2010">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" content="no-cache">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1">

</HEAD>

<BODY>
The content of your web page.
</BODY>
</HTML>

Step 8: Repeat Step 1 to Step 6 for each web page of your web site. To save yourself time, change only what is required. (i.e. keywords, content, etc.)

Additional Meta Tags:

These Meta Tags (if used) must also be placed between <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags of your web page. IMPORTANT: See red sample-code above.

This Meta-Tag automatically "Expires" the web page document in the search engine's database. This can be helpful when the content is going to change often or if it's only going to be offered for a specific amount of time. (i.e. Special Time Limited Offer, Sale, etc.)
IMPORTANT
: Be sure to change the "Date" to suite your specific needs.

This Meta-Tag prevents the web page document from being "Cached" on the visitors computer. This can be helpful when the content is "Updated" often and you want to ensure the visitor is seeing the most current content.

This Meta-Tag "Refreshes" the web page document each time the visitor enters. This can be helpful when the content is "Updated" (i.e. Database, Shopping Cart, etc.)  and you want to ensure the visitor is seeing the most current content.

This Meta-Tag "Excludes" the web page document from being added to the search engine's database. This can be helpful when the content is considered "Private" and/or "Unimportant".
IMPORTANT: If this Meta Tag is used there is no need to use the "Keyword" Meta Tag. Place this Meta Tag at the "Bottom" of the Meta Tag list.

Not all seach engines will obey this rule. Do not use it as your security for a page.
